Robert Walters staff support Cotlands charity by taking kids on a visit to the zoo for Mandela Day

Congratulations to staff members from the Johannesburg office for contributing their time to support Cotlands on Mandela Day.
20 members of staff assisted Cotlands with taking children between the age of 2-5 from less fortunate backgrounds to the Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo to celebrate International Nelson Mandela Day on July 18th. They were split into small teams, and each team had their own shirts decorated in some way to honour Mandela day.
The staff spent the day assisting the children with their general well-bring, preparing food and taking them to explore the adventures of the zoo. For most of them it was the first time they saw some animals and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the lions and elephant in particular.
“All in all it was a very special day, and it was really touching the way some of us were able to form such bonds with the children. There was plenty of hand holding and carrying, and the kiddies really warmed to us as the day progressed. It was such a wonderful experience.”
“It was an extraordinary day playing and exploring with the kids. I especially enjoyed seeing how the children reacted to seeing the animals, like the lions and the elephants. The kids were so well behaved and smiled the whole day“
“We had a great time at the zoo with the kids! I believe it must have been the first time for a lot of them. They got to see a number of animals and enjoyed a little show after the stroll around. They were all so full of love and smiles”
Once again well done to all 20 staff members for taking time out of their day to make some kids very happy and give them an unforgettable experience!
