Senior Credit Analysis

A leading Global Bank, based in Johannesburg, with a strong reputation and presence within South Africa, is seeking a high-quality Senior Credit Analyst to cover Financial Institutions or commercial industry. If you have circa 7-8 years' relevant experience, ideally within a local South African bank or an international bank, and would enjoy growing your career within a market-leading function, please read on.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SENIOR CREDIT ANALYST INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Provide insightful credit analysis across the portfolio, including annual reviews, writing of credit papers/credit proposals, and credit risk-related tasks
Drafting of Credit Analysis
•Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Relationship Managers to ensure that clear Credit Risk guidance is provided
•Ensure that Credit advice given to business, are in line with business objectives
•Assessment of funding strategy, financial policy, and treasury activities
•Effectively mitigate credit risks
Conduct credit stress testing
•Demonstrate and ensure compliance re: credit policy and regulation

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR CREDIT ANALYST:
• Minimum of 7 years' Credit Analysis experience
•N.B. Strong experience in Credit Analysis in Financial Institutions or Corporates
•N.B. Strong Financial Modelling and Cashflow Forecasting experience
•CA(SA), MBA, or CFA (preferred)
•Excellent writing skills (particularly for credit proposals)
•Good knowledge of Banking products
