A leading local bank in Johannesburg, are seeking a Credit Manager with 3-5 years' experience to join the business banking team. Suited for the role are candidates who are solutions-driven, have had experience in credit systems and implementation of risk frameworks and methodologies.
Key Qualifications and experience required for credit manager:
• Bcom in accounting/finance and honours
• Or newly qualified CA(SA)
• 3-5 years' experience in credit (Business banking or Private banking)
• Minimum mandate of 4 million
• Extensive credit systems knowledge
Responsibilities of a credit manager :
• Proactively manage and monitor credit risk
• Manage the credit approval processes
• Efficient management of high-risk portfolio
• Oversee and ensure compliance with the Basel II accord
• Collaborate and develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Ensure audit requirements and legislative are adhered to
• Preparation of presentation credit-related reports.
• Develop and drive growth strategies
• Monitoring credit growth and performance
