A leading global Asset Management/Private Equity firm, based in Johannesburg, is currently seeking a Fund Accountant. This is a dynamic and innovative business with blue chip investors and in addition, you will be a part of a top performing Finance team of CA(SA)’s. You will be supporting the Financial Director to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function and ensuring that the private equity funds is optimised.

You will be supporting the Financial Director to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function and ensuring that the private equity funds is optimised.
Key Job responsibilities will include for the Fund Accountant:
- Assisting in implementing best practices
- Accounting and reporting of private equity partnerships
- Finance and accounting aspects of portfolio transactions (i.e. tax, administration for acquisitions/disposals)
- Ensuring the smooth running of the administration in terms of corporate governance requirements
- Project manage the production of fund management accounts and annual financial statements
- Work with external fund administrators and project manage the distribution processes and when investments are made
- Project management of annual audits
- Compliance management
- Investor reporting
Key Qualifications and Experience required for the Fund Accountant:
- Newly qualified CA(SA)
- Big 4 Audit firm (Preferable)
- Financial Services audit clients (Preferable)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of IFRS and SA Tax
Key Competencies and Skills of the Fund Accountant:
- Technically astute

- Energetic, positive, and driven individual
- Ability to interact at all levels in an organisation
