JOB PURPOSE:
Manage the risks that might have adverse impacts on the Firm’s capital and ability to meet clients’ needs. Management of risks includes the following activities: supporting risk governance, identification, measurement, mitigation and monitoring of risks on a timely basis.
The Head of Risks and Compliance will be responsible for ensuring an effective internal compliance function is in place and ensure that the Firm’s chosen risk management framework (Self Assessment Templates) is being fully implemented in all areas.
The HRC will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements as stipulated by the South Africa Reserve Bank including AML, KYC and statutory ratios.
The HRC will also be responsible for thought leadership in all aspects of risk including the embedding of a risk culture and risk training/awareness at all levels within the Firm.
