Your responsibilities will include
Daily preparation and analysis of desk P&Ls for sign off.
Daily preparation and analysis of financial and accounting models.
Understand the full front to back structure booking processes
Liaise with the desk on booking of structured and complex deals
Understand the market risks affecting the structures.
Monthly preparation of Income statement and Balance sheet
Reconciliation and substantiation of Balance Sheet
Drive initiatives to improve booking and reporting processes.
Daily cash reconciliation
Ensure that financial assets and liabilities that reside on balance sheet are correctly valued.
Liaising with market risk on execution of structures.
Build a good rapport between front office and financial control.
Drive new initiatives and system implementation.
Monthly preparation of BA returns.
Monthly preparation and analysis of management reporting information.
Liaising with internal and external auditors regarding control weaknesses
Back up to the accountant in the preference share business
The successful candidate will posses:
BComm honours or CA (SA) with minimal 2 years banking experience
Previously work in a Product control environment
Exposure to JD Edwards, Equation and Hyperion
