My client is looking for a Head: Custody & Trustee Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong individual to join a high profile and very profitable team liaising across all areas of the investment bank.
Your responsibilities will include:
Key business face-off providing strategic direction and leading a team of approx 50 people responsible for operational functions across all asset classes, which includes inter alia:
Settlements
Corporate Actions
Collateral Management
Client Valuations
EFT Processing and reconciliations
Fund Accounting
Regulatory Compliance
Exchange Traded Fund Administration
Key leadership/managerial responsibilities:
Staff recruitment, training and development
Maintenance and improvement of general control environment
Liaison with internal and external auditors
Sound knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, and the Pensions Fund Act.
Solid understanding of the financial drivers within and Custodial and Trustee operational area.
Fund accounting, both in terms of CISCA and the Pensions Fund Act.
Client and Industry knowledge
Ability to coordinate activities across various functions
Strong sense of accountability and ownership
The successful candidate will possess:
Minimum of 10 years experience within the Securities Services operational environment, including an in-depth knowledge of custodial, trustee and value added securities services.
Strong Industry knowledge and networks.
