My client is a one of the top banks in South Africa. They provide financing, risk management and advisory products and services to users and providers of capital in South Africa.
The Corporate Finance team boasts industry and geographic specific expertise across all investment banking products. Based on detailed individual needs analyses, our bankers work closely with product specialists to develop effective and innovative financing and risk management solutions tailored to each clients specific requirements.
The purpose of the job is to provide coverage and identify financing opportunities in the Resources Sector.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Establishing, leveraging and maintaining strategic relationships with clients in the Resources sector and coordinate client relationships and interaction with clients across the organisation
Originate and close deals in this sector
Develop relationships at a senior level within Corporates in the Resources Sector.
Stay abreast of trends in these sectors and translate these into customer strategies and solutions
Establish and maintain a high profile as an authoritative source of market intelligence in the industry
Create a network of alliances and business partners with product areas in the organisation to optimize and rapidly grow and promote client financing franchise
The successful candidate will posses:
Post Graduate degree preferably in Commerce, Science or Engineering
5 years relevant sector experience at an Investment Bank
Project finance experience / exposure
Experience in cross border deals
Knowledge of a wide spectrum of ZAR financing markets/products and their application to suit client needs
Understanding of derivatives
Proven technical ability with respect to investment banking products, solutions, approach and methodology
Entrepreneurial approach with ability to identify big ticket financing and risk management transactions
